Not sure what to say?

I met Earl back in the early seventies, at Wilmore Camp. I attended the camp as a kid, I was around 13 or 14 when Earl was there, playing bass for Ford Philpot. When they said he'd played with Charlie Daniels, naturally I made a point to meet him after the service. As it turned out, he knew my cousin Kevin, and even let me play his guitar (I was learning to play bass myself at the time). Earl was patient, and one of the kindest folks I ever met. I wish I could have seen him again as I...

I forgot to mention, I attended Kim's wedding with him. He was so very proud of her.

It had been a very long time since I had any contact with Earl. Taz and I were at a show and we called Earl. He was definitely surprised. Earl was a very special man. He had a way with people and animals. There was nothing pretentious about him. He was "at home" wherever he was. I have a cassette of him singing "Are you angry with me darling". It was taped just hanging out at home. I think of him often. So sorry we hadn't kept in touch. I just did a search and found this obit. I think of him...

Earl was one my special friends while playing during college. He was a very talented musician and inspired me to learn the Bass Guitar. His drive to practice and perform was unlike anyone I've ever been around. RIP my friend.

Great friend and classmate Morton Jr High school and Henry Clay High School. One of the BEST Musician so glad he could accomplish his dream lots never get to have a dream come true. He was able to see his dream in lots of ways. Married to my best friend, Pam, that was his other dream... such a wonderful guy. Someday we will see you again in that big house that our Father has prepared for all of us. Yours Carole Ann Hodson McKenzie and Floyd Percival McKenzie

We will miss Earl stopping in to see us. It would be a goofy saying, or a silly song but Earl would always leave us smiling, (like we are right now as we post this). Until we meet again "POPS"
Sincerely,
Ken&Veronica Schroeder
