Another Great One has fallen. Earl had a very distinguished career at the Carrington firm and later as a Mediator and Arbitrator. He never gave anyone 100% of their demand, but always apportioned justice for the facts of the case. Although a Stanford undergrad and a Columbia law grad, he never took the course on arrogance or aloofness. A transparent, straight shooter whether I saw him as the adverse attorney or the arbitrator. He was just a youngster when he died in Comfort, Texas....

Earl was such a nice guy who was not only popular but kind. When we went out for cheerleader in our sophomore year in high school, we decided that at the end of the cheer, I would pick him up rather than him picking me up. It got a big laugh from the crowd.
