As a child/teenager of the 70's, I grew up watching The Walton's. My family and I never missed an episode. Even though I grew up in a different era, I always felt a kinship with The Walton's. I grew up on a farm in the Northern Shenandoah Valley (with my four brothers and two sisters!) and we also had chickens, cattle, grew our own vegetables and canned each years harvest. I have the entire series on DVD (including the movies) which I watch constantly. Oh the memories each episode invokes! I...

I have been watching the Waltons , ever since it started with the Homecoming.It is a wonderful warm family show .And I will always watch it. I have the hole collection even the movies. There will be another WALTONS. God bless you Earl and good NIGHT.

I have wonderful memories of watching The Waltons with my Grandmother born 1905, one of 14 children. She identified with the events of the show.

I just found out today that Mr. Hamner passed away almost a year ago. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. The Waltons is no doubt one of the finest shows on TV, ever! The characters and actors and writers were all superb. No program even comes close today to the quality that the Waltons portrayed. . We all are better for having The Waltons with us, then and now.
