Not sure what to say?

Earl's work and support for many will be missed. He was a good friend.

I saw Earl quite often at the Intergroup office. Earl devoted much of his personal time and resources in service to others. He didn't just talk about gratitude for his life; he lived it every day with the work he freely volunteered so that others could rebuild their lives. I will miss seeing him, and he will continue to be a fine example to me of the importance of helping others.

Earl, may you find everlasting peace in heaven, with pool games, coffee, and neighborly chats with all folks who became your dear friends so easily. Thank you for who you are, a good man.

To the Family - I am a first cousin who never had the pleasure of really knowing Earl. I did meet him when we both worked at Bank of Virginia. I found him to be a pleasant, personable person. My prayers are with the family and perhaps I will meet him again in the great beyond.

I guess you could say that Earl was my first crush. I was only about 10 years old and I couldn't believe this 'older' fellow was coming to the house to see ME! Actually there were two legitimate reasons why Earl came to our house. One, his friend was coming to see my older sister and because we lived in a tiny house and I was apparently 'in the way', Earl came to keep me out of the living room by teaching me how to play chess. Oh how I loved Friday nights and my chess date. Later he admitted...

Dear Leah and Family ~ Our hearts and prayers are with you. Always Know how much you are loved. In time, may peace and grace fill this empty space ~ Karen and Bill

I was sad to hear of Earl's passing. He was a man who always tried to pass it on to the next person who needed a helping hand. He will be missed by the people who looked to him for support. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Jeff: We were sad to hear about your loss. Please know we're thinking of you during this difficult time. Love...

Thank you Earl for all the kind words and keeping me coming back!
