Not sure what to say?

From our most recent Anchorage visit, at the museum. Was so much fun that day.

Love you, Grandpa. Missing you every day.

Earl was my neighbor, friend, and colleague in the Anchorage Rotary Club. For the last several years, he was a regular presence riding his one-speed bicycle around the Turnagain neighborhood in his signature top hat. In September, as I walked through the neighborhood, he was sitting in the sunshine, reading a Western novel. We visited about local politics and his plans to return to Arizona over the winter. We will miss him and cherish his memory.

My thoughts and prayers are with Earl's family in this time of sorrow. I wish I had had the opportunity to get to know Earl and his family. Iver was my favorite great uncle, and brother to my grandmother Mary Madalean Jones. Earl, may you rest in peace.

Earl's Hoke cousins are saddened to learn of his passing. We offer our deepest sympathy and love to his family. Alta Hoke Yates will especially miss his Christmas cards and correspondence. We hope to stay in touch with sons Terry and Robin and their families and wish them peace and comfort.

Earl was my uncle, and he was always good to me when I was a child. He continued that tradition with my own son in the late portion of his years. I am thankful and grateful for that.

There are not enough words in the world to describe what a great man our grandfather was. So many unforgettable wise words and lessons have been woven into my life from this man. We had the best visit a couple of months ago in Anchorage and made some great memories. My heart is so deeply saddened by his loss but he is with those he loves now and resting in peace with Him. Love you grandpa. Til we meet again , Melissa

Earl was a friend for over 50 years and part of our family for 40 years. We loved him, respected him and will miss him more than he could ever have imagined. May he rest in peace.
