Stories and comments about Earl in the memorial service were inspirational. As Earl's pastor at First Baptist Church of Weatherford, I learned much from him. He was a genuine counselor and friend, as well as brother in Christ. Earl and Barbara will always be important to my wife Jan, our two daughters, and me. It was a privilege and an honor to know Earl. Most wonderful was being able to call Earl my friend. I will miss his wonderful sense of humor and the compassion he expressed for those around him.

So sorry to hear of the passing of a wonderful man. Prayers for the family with reassurance of the reward he has now received.

Earl was the cornerstone of Wednesday Bible study for years, the Chief Inviter, and 100% faithful. The study will continue, but I know we'll include him for some time to come. He was a friend and an example of what it means to love family and Jesus Christ.
