Not sure what to say?

Madeline,

This is a tough time in life, which we will both experience simultaneously.

Earl's life was full and rich, with family enjoyment, good friends and a wife for which his devotion was obvious. He will be missed.

Unfortunately at this time I am in Alabama visiting my sister and some other friends and regret I will not be at the service.

Warm regards,

Dear Madeline and Family,

I was deeply saddened to hear about Earl's passing. Life will not be the same without him in it. Yet his spirit lives on in each of you and generations of people he touched along the way. I loved how he and my Dad would call each other around Apple Cup time and talk about who would win (Cougs vs Dawgs). He had such a wonderful spirit and energy that was infectious to those around him. Thank you for sharing him all these years. He was a beautiful human being!

Madeline and family,

I am sorry to hear of Earl's passing. Although I haven't seen any of you all in years, I still remember Earl fondly....having spirited sports discussione and speculating on basketball and baseball games and discussing the merits of the game of golf. He was one of a kind.

Dear Lavery family,
I am sorry I was not able to be at the mass today. Mom just called to say how nice it was and tell me about the large number of people who attended.

I've been saying prayers for Mr. Lavery ever since hearing he wasn't feeling well. Even though it's been many years since our days together at St. Matthew, the friendships we shared then have endured. The Lavery family will always be very special.

I never knew Earl and I had two special things in...

Madeline and Family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you today in the celebration of Earl's life. Sorry we could not attend as we are in Arizona. We have such found memories of the good times on Holly Drive and also enjoying your company at our home in Redmond last summer when you and Earl, Bob and Cheryl came for dinner.
Sincerely with Love,

Joyce and Jim Saari

Dear Madeline, Donna and the Lavery Family,
We Sisters send you our supportive prayers as Earl enters his eternal happiness. May his new life in God's Presence bring great peace to you all.

Dear Madeline and family,
I was so sorry to hear about Earl's death. Please accept my condolences and and prayers for Earl, you and the entire Lavery family. I will always remember Earl as someone who took an interest in all of Pat's friends. He made quite an impression on me....I'm still trying to figure out how to play golf on weekends and still raise kids.
Love and prayers,

Earl you were truly a "jewel"! The obituary was so perfectly written, I found myself nodding my head agreeing with what I was reading. I was one of those young kids that he affected so positively. He was always glad to see me and wanted to hear of my latest news and adventures. We may have lost a friend...however my Mom has gained a golfing, card playing and salmon fishing buddy! Now that makes me smile! Blessings to the whole family! Mary (Williams) Beard

Madelline- My love to you and the kids. Am on Lopez and will not be at the Funeral. What can I say,Earl was just a great guy. Pat Rogers
