EARL J. McGINTY, "Nick" (75) Olmsted Township, Ohio passed away on July 5, 2023. Earl was born October 20, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio. Although he had many important roles in Life, his Greatest was Father and Grandfather. A born leader, with an outstanding work ethic, his career started in the U.S Army as a Military Policeman. His commitment at the helm as Operations Manager for Northwest Airlines in his Beloved Cleveland was near and dear to his heart. His work continued as a Brinks Guard on domestic flights and in retirement he led the security team at the I-X Center. Earl loved video poker, going to the gym, Cheering on Everything Cleveland, watching Fox News, Calling his Daughters and Grandchildren just to Check in, and MORE much more than this…HE DID IT HIS WAY. Earl leaves behind his girlfriend Ruth Homuth, daughters Kelly Tromba (Mark), Stephanie Wallingford (Frank), Chrissy Mitchell, sons Nick McGinty, Michael McGinty, grandchildren Samantha Coffman (Spencer), Victoria Tromba, Riley McGinty, Grace Wallingford, Savannah Wallingford, Gabriel Wallingford and Cassidy Mitchell. A Private Family Service will be held. Earl’s final place of peace will be Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted.

I knew Nick from my older brother Jer who was a very very close friend of his. As a young guy I looked up to Nick like a cool, wise ,older
street - smart brother,who knew his way around everything. Nick was... Mr. Cool, and always very diligent in everything he did.
I respected him so much that I named my own son Nick, after him. Even though I didn't see Nick alot in the later years , I still thought of him alot when ever I saw my son , Nick.

Nick and I worked together for years at NW Airlines. But,more than that we and our families with our children so young at the time were close friends. Nick was like a brother to me back in the day and have such fond memories of travels and family get togethers. You Nick McGinty will always be a part of me, the time we spent together cherished with all it's memories. God bless you friend.

So sorry to hear of Earl passing my husband Jim worked at the IX center with earl for many years before Jim passed in 2009 Earl was such a kind man and would lend a hand when you needed it. Rest In Peace
