Earl J. Parsons, 78, of Easton, PA, passed away Sunday, January 24th, at Gracedale, Northampton County Home, Nazareth, PA.

Earl was born in Pen Argyl, PA on July 19, 1937, a son of the late Carlington and Pearl (Moyer) Parsons.

He was the husband of Joan (Phillips) Parsons. They celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary last February. Earl was employed as an industrial radiographer at Ingersoll-Rand in Phillipsburg, NJ, until retiring in 1996. He was a 1954 graduate of Pen Argyl High School and served in the U.S. Air Force.

Earl was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg, NJ.

In addition to his wife, Joan, Earl is survived by a sister, Nona Wilson, of East Bangor; a brother, Leonard C. Parsons, of Wind Gap, 2 grandchildren Eric T. Parsons and Tracy Lebo and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son David T. Parsons and a brother Irvin C. Parsons.

Funeral services will be held at James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, 200 S. Robinson Ave., Pen Argyl, PA, at 2 PM on Thursday, January 28th, with Rev. Robert Weber officiating. Friends are invited to call from 1 - 2 PM Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be held Northampton Memorial Shrine Easton, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 300 Roseberry St., Phillipsburg, NJ 08865.
