I am so very sad to hear about this. When my brother Ira passed away last August, I made sure to tell Earl because he and my brother had been such close friends growing up. School mates and classmates they were both super smart and funny. They lost touch over the years, but when Ira died, and I wrote to Earl, he wrote back such a lovely note. Earl was my cousin. His grandfather Peter was my grandfather's brother. I loved his humor and even though I haven't seen him in years, bragged about him to all who would listen. He admired my grandfather being in the movie business (Paramount distribution and then his own company in Buffalo). He also was more secular than his brothers, daring to even eat bacon!
