Not sure what to say?

Damn Proud!

Mr. Earl Pond will always be a legend to me.
As a young girl of 7 to 13 yrs of age, I had the great pleasure of spending 3 weeks with my grandparents Mr. Fred and Blanche Beutler each summer in Pocatello, Idaho. They lived two doors down from the Pond family. Those 3 weeks were the most memorable and glorious days of my childhood. Much to my “Grammie’s” chagrin, the first thing I would do on the morning of arrival, is dial my dear friend Becky Pond – “I’m here”
I would resound, and...

Although you may not remember me, I have only the best memories of your family and your wonderful dad and husband. My sister Taryn and I visited our grandparents ( Beutler's) every summer. Mr. and Mrs. Pond welcomed us to they're family for 3 weeks every summer. After all these years I can still see him bounding up the steps of your house as he came home from work.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. He was so kind and wonderful to two little girls from California. We will never...

Marilyn and I send our best wishes to Mary T and the family. We went to ISU with some of Earl's children and I worked with Earl when I was alumni director at ISU.
Earl always had time to listen and help. The Ponds helped make ISU special for many students, faculty and staff. Bill & Marilyn Byrne

Our deepest sympathies to all the Pond family. Earl was one of the best men that I have had the privilege of knowing. I have many great memories of him and his wonderful family. He led a full life and will be greatly missed by all of Pocatello, as well as Idaho State University, and the members of Phi Sigma Kappa.

This is Kevin Olson, ISU class of 1979, accounting. The most enjoyable time I spent at ISU was the time I was a student senator from the college of Business. Earl was our advisor, which developed into a great deal of respect on my part and a friendship. Although it was confidential, Earl gave me a glowing reccomendation on my resume. I was so impressed that he remembered me years earlier playing basketball for Preston High, although the memory may have been reinforced because that time the...

Debby and I send our deepest sympathies to Mary T. and the whole family. Earl was a great friend, mentor and father figure. Debby and I got pinned in the Phi Sig House across from Earl's home. Steve and I became Phi Sigs together and Michele and Debby were born in the same hospital on the same day and celebrated birthdays together in the Phi Sig House. We feel like we've lost a member of our family. We know Earl is entertaining the angels with wild and wonderful stories as we speak.

Our Deepest condolences. Earl was a remarkable man with to many accomplishments to mention. A man of great stature. Our prayers are with you. May God Bless all of you. Bill & Claudia Meiners
