Not sure what to say?

I'm so sorry to hear about Smitty's passing. I never had the opportunity to meet him in person but I worked with him hundreds of times over the past 20+ years and "Ol' Smitty" was always a joy to talk to.

My condolences to your family. May God give you peace of heart and of mind to get through this trail. Phillippians 4:7

Dad,

It really sucks the way I lost you. I can't believe your gone. I am so glad I drove you to the Airport that day. You were gonna drive yourself but instead you changed your mind and let me take you. My last memory of you was looking back from the stairs as you were going through security. Why does life have to be so cruel. Why doesn't my son get to know his grandfather. Smitty was a throwback. A no-nonsense guy with a strong work ethic...but also a sense of humor. When I went to his shop, it usually meant I had a broken piece of equipment and it was going to cost me money. But somehow, it wasn't so bad. It was like it was worth money to spend some time with Smitty.

Goodbye, Smitty! Thank you for everything you have done for me in the years! We had a lot of good times back in the day! You have joined your beautiful wife, (who is not sick anymore) in eternal happiness! Say hello to everyone for me! May you soar with your family of Angels!!!! Send me a sign once in a while! Your friend always, Babs (his name for me)
