When my parents moved to Carroll Lutheran Village Earl was very welcoming. My Dad enjoyed chatting with Earl over a cup of coffee. I visited weekly and would run into Earl in the halls. When he learned I lived outside of Washington he told me about his time at Barracks Row. After my Mom passed Earl made an extra effort to chat with my Dad. He was a nice man. My condolences to the family.
