Earl was such a wonderful friend to our family, particularly when Mark and I were young. Always positive, optimistic and fun, and always had kind words for Mark and me. Mark and I first worked with Earl, Jerry and my Dad with Triangle Landscaping in a new development on Sardis Road in Charlotte in the early '70s. Like a page out of Mayberry, Earl is walking away looking back over one shoulder with a fishing pole on the other shoulder! Always remembered as a happy man.

Betty, I am so sorry to hear this news, I only met Earl once, but I remember you telling about your fishing adventures. Hold tight to those great memories you made throughout the 33 years, they will get you through the rough times. Thoughts and prayers for you and the family.
