To the Family of Earl Wendt.
I am Doug Bulen, Moderator of a Vietnam Veterans email discussion group of which Earl was a longstanding member, since at least May 1999. Earl was an active participant for many years. Many of us came to know Earl as a good man who served his Country well.
We will miss Earl's presence in the group. We have many good memories to remember from Earl's writings within the group over the years. He often shared deep emotions and perspectives that he could share...

I am writing for the entire staff at VF Sports, we just today learned of Earl's passing. Earl was a very nice man, he always put a smile on our faces when he came in- we loved chatting with him! We send our condolences to his family!!

To Earl's family, I send my sincerest condolences regarding your loss. I came to know him through the Pleiku Pals, and he will be greatly missed. He is now one of the Lord's warriors, and once again brave, young, and strong. It was such a pleasure to know him! We are proud of him. May God comfort you all. Earl, you've definitely earned your wings!
