Not sure what to say?

We were blessed to have known Dr. Nakagawa. His caring and patient nature with the thoroughness of his eye exams were evident from the first time we met him years ago. It was always enjoyable talking to Dr. Nakagawa about golf and his mission work. Our belated condolences to the Nakagawa family. Pete & Julia

My name is Cal Higa along with Brother Earle, Alumnus of St Louis and most importantly Brotherhood of JESUS CHRIST Our LORD and SAVIOR. On the Baseball Team we played at shortstop and at second base. Brother EARLE urged me to attend Seattle U. but opted for UH Manoa. Our discipline at St Louis prepared us for Life and Professional Careers. Our commaradery forged in Baseball, Football, and the Classroom will continue in Heaven with JESUS for Eternity. Brother EARLE'S Mansion in Heaven with...

I was a patient of Dr. Nakagawa for 20 years. I always looked forward to my eye appointments because Dr. Earle was always so thorough and thoughtful, I'd always leave with a lesson in optometry in that hour and a half I was there and/or an important life lesson. He was extremely knowledgeable, wise, and had a compassion for his work, his family and patients like no other. You are unmatched Dr. Nakagawa. What an honor and blessing to have been your patient. Thankyou for taking in my daughter...

Dr. Nakagawa has taken care of us for over 30 years. He has cared for our children and other family members. He was a kind and generous man and will be missed by all. God bless you and your family.

I have been a patient of Dr. Nakagawa for over 30 years and was saddened to learn of his passing. He was a kind and caring person, and I will miss him deeply. Rest in Aloha Dr. Earl.

Uncle Earl was my favorite uncle. He always was eager to offer me life advice whenever I asked. He had a peace and calmness about him that transferred to me as my personality is the opposite. He put his family that he loved so much first regardless of the long hours he worked. He will always be a mentor to me and a good example of how I should live. At Thanksgiving he washed dishes and did whatever he could to lighten the load of his family. Could not say enough about what a kind and...

Our family went to Dr. Nakagawa for many years and we were grateful to find such a caring, competent doctor. He became a friend and we always enjoyed the time we spent with him. We were very sad to learn of his death and send his family heartfelt condolences.

Dr. Nakagawa was such a wonderful person as well as a great eye doctor. We talked a lot about golf during my eye exams and he was always so proud of his granddaughters' ability to golf. I can't imagine going to any other eye doctor. He will be greatly missed. My condolences to his family.

We learned of Earle's passing just today and am deeply sorry for your loss. Earle was a wonderful neighbor, always cheerful and friendly. We will miss him dearly. Mike & Betty Newman
