Verseman, Earlene D. (nee Reynolds), asleep in Jesus, Tuesday, February 26, 2013. Known by family and friends as "MaMa."
Beloved wife for 63 years of Walter H. Verseman; Loving mother of Kirk (Cynthia) and Kent (Maria) Verseman; Grandmother of Nicholas (Stephanie) Verseman, Lauren (Todd Richardson) Verseman, Anna (Ryan) Beilsmith, Kristin (Zach) Bodendieck, Alexander (Ashley) Verseman and Drewes Verseman; Great-grandmother of Ethan, Tyler, Erik, Jakob, Melaina, Aiden, Cole and Teddy; Sister of David (Beverly) Reynolds; Dear sister-in-law, aunt and friend to many.
Earlene was a lifetime resident of the St. Louis area. She lived in Mari de Villa Center for the last three and a half years. Prior to her entry into Mari de Villa she and her husband split their residency for the previous 16 yrs between southwest Florida and St. Louis developing many additional friends in their second home in Florida.
Services: Memorial service at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 12345 Manchester Rd. at Ballas, Des Peres, Friday, March 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Luncheon for friends and family immediately following at the Missouri Athletic Club-West. Private interment at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Des Peres. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Foundation of Cancer Research (NFCR) or a charity of your choice. Although I never really knew or interacted with either Mr. or Mrs. Verseman, I have known OF them for most of my life. To Kent and Kirk, I am so aware of the emotions/sorrow left by the passing of a beloved parent and the responsibility of caring for the one left behind. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your wives, and your children.
