My heart broke the minute I heard of Ed Bruce's passing! I've listened to country music my entire life, and I grew up in the 1980s when he was topping the charts on country radio and trying to keep Bret Maverick (James Garner) out of trouble on NBC! He was am amazing songwriter, had a voice like no other, and was quite an actor, too! I had the pleasure of meeting him briefly after a concert and its a meeting I will never, ever forget.
