My prayers are continually with Ed Buggs family. I had spoken with Ed a month before he passed. He was so up beat in spirits. I am praying for your healing during your greaving. A great loss for us and a rejoicing for God. He was an angel among us. May you know we will always hold Ed in highest regards. He will be truely missed.
To make a connection, my brother Herbert and him worked together at Ch2 and in Dallas, Texas together. Herbert was a cameraman, Partners in Crime.

I have had the pleasure to meet Mr. Buggs many years ago. Though I was not a close personal friend of Mr. Buggs each time we would have a conversation or a meeting he would make me feel as if we were a long time friends. Truly a special person. He will be deeply missed. Rest In Peace. Deepest sympanthies to the Buggs Family.

We will miss Mr. Buggs' style of broadcasting. He told it how it was. We were faithful listeners to his WJBO radio program. Our prayers are with his family. The Creightons

I grew up watching and listening to Ed on WBRZ and WJBO. Disagreed with 90% of what the man had to say on political issues, but there is no denying his extraordinary broadcasting talents, his friendliness, just his downright ability to have a conversation. It is obvious he could have been successful at the national level doing so many different things, but he still got to live a pretty great life. He will go down as a Baton Rouge legend. Rest in peace, my brother!
