Ed J. Kush, 73, of Genoa, Ill., went home to be with his Lord on Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at OSF Center for Cancer Care, where he was being treated for lung cancer.
He was born Sept. 6, 1935, in Chicago, to June and Ed Kush, Sr. He married Cheryl Bennett on Nov. 8, 1958. They celebrated 50 years...
I was so sorry to learn of Ed's passing. I will never forget working with him in the chemistry department at NIU and his "rabbit, rabbit, rabbit" on the first of every month.

Dearest Mom, Colleen, Tim, Tony, & Matt: I was SO glad we all got to spend Dad & Mom's 50th Wedding Anniversary together - memories that will stay with us forever. Dad is now with us all in heart & soul. He's in a much better place now, and we can be comforted. He's looking down upon us saying "If they could only see me now!" I can envision his beautiful blue eyes sparkling & that big smile. He's happy. It was great being home again. (not under these circumstances) I love & miss...
