We did not learn until yesterday in the Globe & Mail that Ed had passed, please accept our sincere condolences. Remember the crazy times we had with Barry & Donna, you & Ed, Jan & I when we worked for SaskPower... what a lot of fun and laughs we had.

I was so shocked to read of Ed's passing. Since I returned to Saskatoon, I didn't realize you were still here. What missed opportunities! My sister-in-law, Tammy Purkin was so sad when I told her. Ed was a favorite of hers when she was a teen. I hope that good memories and your family and friends will help you through this difficult time.

Dear Edna and family,
We are saddened to learn of Ed's death. We recalled all the wonderful satirical cartoons he did for the Star Phoenix for so many years. I also recall fondly the times you both spent with my parents at the many functions held at our house and Dad's studio. His gentle manner and warm laugh was always uplifting. Saskatoon society is diminished through his demise. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
