Mrs. Sully´s impact on me was monumental. She really "saw" me and communicated with me like a human and young adult. I remember throughout 8th grade when I´d sometimes join her and other classmates in ordering Chinese food for lunch; a lot of the time, I´d spend lunch in her classroom with her and a couple of others just learning from her about life. Mrs. Sully saw in me what she considered to be a untapped academic talent and was RELENTLESS in pushing me to excel. She had a profound impact on my education and frankly my career. Among the many lessons I learned from her, I will never EVER misspell "dessert" ("remember strawberry shortcake = two ss"). I am a better person for having been her student. May she rest in peace.
