Eddie Mae Binion

Ms. Binion was a true and tireless activist and advocate. She believed in all the tactics necessary to bring about justice--from demonstrations and civil disobedience to education and civic engagement. Most of all she insisted that people affected by decisions should determine and influence those decisions. I learned A LOT from Ms. Binion, and I'll miss her. I think she'll help us a whole lot, now, from her new position of power ;-)

Thanks to DJ, Eddie was a proud Olivette resident. This was how I met Eddie. Eddie Mae was a champion of justice for many years before I was blessed to meet her. She will be missed by family, friends and those that benefited from her strength and courage to take on the injustices of our times.
I am honored to have known her and to know her mission continues on through her children and grandchildren.
