Dear Valinda, I just got the sad news. My condolences to you and the family. We have lost a great man and a fine friend. Thank you Ed, for a life time of commitment, memories and for one of the biggest hearts in the world. I was saddened to hear about the passing of Eddie Charles Brown, Jr. I want to send my condolences to the entire Brown family. Ed was one of eleven national Civil Rights leaders who graced the West Chester University of Pennsylvania campus twelve years ago when we honored the late Bayard Rustin over a two day period.
