Eddie Deckard

Dear family of Eddie, I never formally met Eddie, but I have heard many many stories from Bill and Della Deckard's older girls. One of which was my mama, Trudy, that I lost on June 20th. I offer my sincerest sympathy, and my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Jennifer and Angela, I'm so sorry about the loss of your dad. You can be sure that a part of what makes you both so special and unique to the people who have known you well, in part came from this man. I believe that truly good people are in good hands here, and beyond. You are in my thoughts.

Today I found out that I lost the best friend I had ever had. Eddie helped me through tough times when I lost my wife in 2004. He was always there for me and checked on me as my friend many many days. I truly loved Eddie as my brother and will miss him forever. I know that he is in the presence of the Lord and will never be in pain or worry. My heart and prayers go out to his wonderful wife, family and friends. Kim and Mike, I was so sorry to hear of your father's death. Glad you got to spend as much time as you could these last few years with him. Know it meant the world to him to have you two spend quality time with him before he passed.
