i worked under then lt. eddie kirkland with the tpd, in 1965, he for some reason took an instant likely to me, and took me under his wing, ill never forget him, he also wanted me promoted to the juvenile bureau, when he was assigned there, unfortunately it did not happen, but i always, admired, respected and loved eddie kirkland, he was one of a kind, just a very good man, god bless you eddie, your friend forever dick rivett
