Thinking Of Eddie

Eddie Spaghetti or Steady Eddie that's what we called him when ever we saw him.
He was a cousin who meant so much... I could trust him.. he had earned my trust.

Thinkin back of us growing up... I can't remember a time that we had ever fought.
When i had married and moved to different states.. He made it a point to stop by and stay...
We would play cards.. and have our mix drinks.. then we would chat about this and that..

I am heartbroken. I have just learned today that my dear friend died a year ago. I think he meant for me to learn today -- what a coincidence that it would be on his birthday! We always picked up our friendship, close conversation and fun as if they'd never ended. You never really think it actually could end. I will cherish all of the amazing times we had together - at Austin College, in Spain, Morocco... I love you, Eddie, and I will miss that infectious laugh forever.

My deepest and heartfelt sympathies go out to Tio Guy and Tia Rosie and their family. I deeply miss Eddie and all the joy he brought to our family get-togethers. Always laughing, smiling, shining bright, with a true heart of gold!! This world will never be the same without Eddie in it. I love you, Cousin!

Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Olvera for bringing into the world such a wonderful and caring man. I, just as many many others, loved your son and will miss him for the rest of my life.

Eddie,
You redefined the meaning of the word friend. I am so fortunate to have spent such quality time with you, getting to know you, learning from you. Thanks for living life to fullest, everyday! I am a better person because of you. Miss you lots.

Eddie, I only had the priveledge of meeting you a couple of times, but it was enough to know that you were a wonderful, happy, kind person. We could not help but love you. You are missed my friend. God bless the Olveras, with love.

Eddie was such an amazing presense - he lit up a room with his broad smile and contageous laughter, always making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Eddie was one of the first Olveras that I felt really embraced me as part of the family and I will always cherish that about him. I will miss him terribly.

When I received the news of the passing of Eddie, I remembered one of the first times Guy and Rosa visited the Quad Cities with their sons. Eddie and Eric were full of an endless amount of energy. It was immediately evident Eddie loved everyone around him and he had no problem expressing it. His ever present smile and his spirit touched everyone he met.
Guy,Rosa and immediate family, God bless you at this time of great loss. Your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I send out my...

Eddie, we didn't know you but you sound like a wonderful person. I am sorry your life did not touch ours as we would have liked to know you. However, I know some of your wonderful family Octavio, Cyndi Santos and Efrin and Jennifer Olvera. Eddie, you are another Angel that now watchs over your family. God bless all of you.
