Eddie Ray Phipps

I was fortunate enough to have Eddie in my life at both South East Lake and Banks High School, and I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing. Eddie's smile would light up a room; and though I lost touch, I am sure he remained the kind, good man he was growing into. My condolences to his family.

Eddie sold Andy his first dobro when Andy was sixteen and that enriched Andy's life a lot. Eddie was a kind person. Phipps family, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I remember Edie's handsome smile at South East Lake school. He was one of the most popular guys in school. Later on, his children came to our Peds Clinic. I reconnected with him in the later years. I wasn't aware of his illness, and am always devastated when losing a longtime acquaintaince & friend. I know Calvin, too, and realizing this must be difficult for him as well.

So sorry to hear of Eddie Ray's passing. I did not know he was sick. I also did know that Bea was dead. I will always miss Her and Charles Massey, and I worked for Ed in the piano business when I was younger. God bless the family and I know he will be greatly missed. Time passes so fast and we will all ways remember the good day, and times we all had together.
