Farewell, good friend ! You are now bathed in the artistic beauty of the greatest artist of all-your Father in heaven ! Bill and Delores Stob

He was possibly the most artistic personality at Calvin College, ever. Everywhere you look, you see his very special influence. Edgar had a hand in so, so many fabulous and unforgettable achievements.

I was honored to know Edgar Boeve. He and I loved the discipline of art history, and as his student at Calvin and as a colleague in the art department we worked alongside each other. I gained such a rich appreciation for the place of art in the world by studying with him and by knowing him. As others have said, he changed my life. He was the bright and necessary voice advocating for the arts in the Christian Reformed community. Thank you, and with deep thanks, we will miss you Ed.

Ed and Ervina Boeve changed my life. They exposed me to international travels and the role that art and theater play in the history of civilization. Ed's wonder at the beauty and mystery of creation inspired me as a 5th grader at Oakdale Christian School. He and Ervina were mentors and friends to me for the rest of their lives. I am so grateful for all they contributed to my life and to the world.

Mr. Edgar Boeve, I will always remember his love of the Arts and his dominating smile. I was privileged to see, have known and admired his work there at Calvin College. You will be dearly missed, however, never forgotten! LaGrave CRC member, Hattie"The Hatlady" Patterson.
