Not sure what to say?

Just noticed this obit. Condolences from the Schneider family. I remember taking swim lessons in the Galson pool as a young child. I think I accidentally offended Ed once as a teen when he invited us to ski at Caz ski club. I asked where the rest of the hill was not realizing how small the place was. Sorry about that. Lots of good memories from our times with the Galson family. I see lots of familiar names on the memories page. Sheers, Chertows.

I rode into Ed's world on Lynne and Bob Scheer's coattails. The ride was great but too short and the coattails were wonderful. Ringing in the New Year at the Galsons is an important memory for me. Mary Jane Monsour

Condolences from the whole Birkhead Family to the whole Galson Family. Ed was a great leader and mentor to us Troop 21ers. The Birkheads also remember with fondness the joint Birkhead/Galson family canoe trip in La Vérendrye, Quebec, in 1973. A real adventure. (See pictures of Ed and Eva from the trip. Our thoughts are with you.

That's such a wonderful picture of Ed! I'm so grateful your family was so welcoming to us when we lived on Lockwood Road and let us come swim whenever we wanted to. We had many good times together including playing charades. I appreciated Ed's warm hugs later in life and his acceptance of my spiritual path. I included blessings for his soul and his loved ones; may you have all the love and support you need - for over 40 days as an intention for a powerful Sanskrit chant that I chant every...

The prompt here says to "add a memory." My head is truly swimming in memories of Ed and Eva. On the slopes at Caz, hiking some mountain, paddling a canoe in the Adirondacks, carrying a canoe over some ungodly portage ... the two of them and all their friends telling stories or debating every pressing issue of the day. That group raised me. Ed had a twinkle in his eye that was only rivaled by Eva's. I cannot think of his passing without shedding tears, but for this man and his wife,...

It's hard to imagine Lockwood Rd. without the Galsons living there, so welcoming to so many. Ed lived a long and energetic life, and left a remarkable legacy to his community.
