Carol & Family,
My condolences to you all. The first time I met Ed he was at his post as a Ranger at the Port Susan Camping Club. He would always great everyone with a smile and strong hand shake. Ed and I got to know each other over the years and when we had time we would exchange logging stories as we both worked in the woods. I will remember Ed as a kind man with deep voice. You all will be in my prayers as this most difficult time moves forward. Please hang onto the good times...

Carol and Family,
I was so sad to hear of the loss of Ed. I haven't seen you for many years now, but have thought of you often. There are many wonderful memories I have of Ed; among them, camping, stories he would tell, and lots of laughter. He will be greatly missed. My love and prayers go out to you.

We only had the pleasure of getting to
know Ed & Carol after CoraLee's brother
Doug married Carol's sister Mary in the
early 1970's. We enjoyed listening to Ed's stories and have many found memories about the time we spent with him. Many of their friends from Port Susan are very sad because they have lost a good friend.

A SIMPLE MAN
A simple man with simple ideas,
that's what he, thinks of himself,
but others look differently at him.
They say that he has a heart way off the charts,
for all the things that he does.
For the words of comfort that he says,
and the support he brings to all he meets.
He cannot see it though;
to him it is just something
he has always done naturally.
To him there is nothing special,
in all that he does.

I was so saddened and shocked to learn of Ed's passing. He and Carol were always so kind to me. Whether it was someone to lean on at my best friend's memorial or someone to put out my chimney fire. I have very fond memories of you both. May all the happy memories of Ed surround you at this most difficult time.

My best memory is waking up in a freezing cold camper to the smell of Folgers coffe brewing and fresh trout frying in cornmeal. That was the best breakfast ever! You always made me feel safe, with your wise down to earth character, patent and kind you were the true definition of what a Man should be. Thank you for being my Father and standing up for me in so many ways.

You are going to be missed by all. I will always remember the times you took me fishing as a young boy, and all of our hunting trips as well...The rides in your logging truck when I was still in grade school....You were a great brother and teacher. I learned a great deal from you...
Your younger brother,
