Dear Members of Ed's immediate and Extended Families: I first met Ed while he was involved with the Tournament of Roses and became so impressed with his demeanor and skill set that I encouraged him to apply for a position at Cal Poly Pomona. Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your father and stepfather. While I knew that Ed was very accomplished I had no idea to what extent. I am sorry to hear that Peg passed away in 2010, what a lovely and intelligent woman. You are all very fortunate to have had these two people as your parents. Peace and comfort to you.

The the Family of Edgar C Pierce. I'm sorry for your loss. I remember Mr. Pierce from my days on the Altadena Town and Country Club swim team. I never realized how close our circles ran. I was a member of the Pasadena Presbyterian Church, had a career in radio and am involved with Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. May Mr. Pierce rest in peace. Rod Gray
