Edgar Pope, Jr., age 76, of Antioch, TN, passed away September 3, 2011.
His stated goal in life was to be the best husband and father he could be. Having surpassed that goal, he is reaping his reward. He was a member of Burnett Chapel Church of Christ and Pipefitter Local 572. Preceded in death by the mother of his children, Jane Richards Pope.
Survived by his wife of 26 years, Peggy Robinson Pope; sons, Billy (Dawn), Eddie (Amy), Eric and Sam (Traci) Pope; daughters, Pam (Walter) Demonbreun and Amanda Pope; step children, Dave (Sharon) Robinson and Janet (Dennis) Johnson; 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Dorris Pope and Clarence Nipper.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Joey Spann and Russ King will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Family will serve as Pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 12 noon until 8 p.m., Monday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna, 615-459-3254
