Longtime friends of my late parents Dr Milton and Joann Johnson. Their friendship began at Westminster Presbyterian church, (my parents originally members and we children were all baptized there)..after my Dad's dental practice was moved to Vancouver WA ..the Rynersons followed as patients. Their friendship was lifelong! My parents passed away in 2019..but I always remember the Rynerson's and the wondrous gift of friendship!

Ed was one of the most interesting people I ever met. He worked for the Oregonian for many years as a major distributer of that paper on the east side of Portland. He knew just about every news paper in every major city in the U.S. He was a great help for me when I was doing my family genealogy In New York . I would spend hours talking with him in the TOSIS restaurant on 62nd and Sandy blvd. Everyone loved Ed There wasn't anything he didn't know about, who, where and why. He should have...

A long life, well lived. I have enjoyed hearing family stories over the years since first meeting Bob as students at Lewis and Clark College in 1964. Visited the Irvington house several times and was always awed by the stacks of newspapers and the smell of newsprint. As an aspiring newspaper reporter that seemed like spending time in a great library. Didn´t realize the glory days were fading and all to soon would be gone. Condolences to the family. Precious memories remain.

As long-time neighbors, we're so grateful to have known and loved Ed from our childhoods, up until present times. What an amazing, seemingly happy-go-lucky, kind and loving man he was. He'll always be a bright spot in our lives and our hearts! Our sincere condolences to the family and deep appreciation for how well you've always loved and cared for Ed - as well as for each other. May our neighborhood ties always remain strong - and may your strength and caring see you through the...
