Edgar Lewis Sanford Jr.

Edgar was born on May 4, 1924 and passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2019. Born in China of missionary parents, Ted grew up in Moorestown, NJ, attended the public schools there, and, as a senior, was elected President of the Student Government. With World War II in progress, he enlisted in the Navy after his freshman year, was returned to Sewanee for another year, went to midshipman's school at Notre Dame and was commissioned as an ensign.
