Ed will be greatly missed. Though he was a good friend, he was like a father to me. I will never forget his stories and mentoring which he shared with me in the investment world.
I am glad I had the opportunity to have met a person like him.
He has truly has been a cornerstone in my life.

Ed was a unique character, interested in world events and all those he knew. He offered me, like others, good council. I am sorry he is no longer among us.

Dearest Ed,
Don't know how or where to begin because so many things remind us of you, and they seem to strike at no particular time or place. We met quite a few people in the year we lived in Rossmoor, many of them can be traced back to your parties. It's your desire to mix people, to introduce friends to each other, to take new people under your wings and to make them feel included that we would be grateful forever. But it's your dry humor, your curry chicken, your love for gardening...

Dear ED...in a couple of weeks I will be returning to Walnut Creek for one of my home leaves. You always kept such good track of your friends and I could count on a call from you within the first day or two of my return--inviting me for dinner and a stroll through he garden. I will certainly miss the visits with you but I bet I can get Alan to give me a tour of your beautiful garden. Your friendship will be greatly missed by many people. love, Sue

My dear Ed,
Yesterday I went to a Chinese restaurant with my nephew (Alex) and Jake in Concord; the place we used to dine out once a while. All time I was thinking of you in the restaurant. When it came to crash the fortune cookie, I was amazed by reading the message. It says, " I miss you." What a beautiful message! I kept it in my pocket and then placed it in my little box when I got home. Dear, I miss you.

Ed, you touched a great many lives and made a great many impressions. I know that a bit of you lives on in each of the people who were fortunate enough to have made your acquaintance. Many of them will undoubtedly pass some of your wisdom on to others. That's true immortality.

Dear Ed,
I'm so happy to have known you. I had dinner with you at your apartment when you lived in San Leandro, and Van and I came to your house not too long ago for lunch, and to see your lovely garden. Just June 5th you came with Van and Steve to see my new home, and to go to lunch with us. I can't believe you are gone so suddenly. I am happy we had those times together, and all the other times we chatted at various Pacific Friends events. I will miss your presence, friendship,...
