Not sure what to say?

Sincere condolences to Jean and Family. Was in the UK when I heard the news. I first remember "Tiny" when he came to the Welding Institute of Canada in 1983 when he was not so Tiny.Since then I will remember him as the most passionate Metallurgist I ever knew who would always tell me "he would be working till his final day and could never retire". He will be sadly missed in the Materials World.

It has been a priviledge to have known Tiny Von Rosenberg who was instrumental in the technical acceptance of submerged-arc spiral-welded line pipe for a major West African oil pipeline. His technical expertise was appreciated by many people including those in the German steel pipe manufacturing industry. My deepest sympathy to Jean and the family.

It has been my privilege and good fortune to have known and worked with Tiny for over 40 years. When I say “worked with” I mean that Tiny was a tremendous resource of metallurgical knowledge and advice. The projects and I were beneficiaries. He was especially helpful during the eight years of design and construction of the Trans Alaska Pipeline.

To Jean & her family,
We are SO sorry to hear of your loss. Just heard about your husband's death yesterday via email from Madelyn. If there is anything we can do to make this time easier for you, don't hesitate to let us know.
Sincerely,

Billie & Ron Reed

Tiny has made an outstanding contribution in all aspects of pipeline safety. For about 40 years he has enriched my technical knowledge with wisdom, wit and irony.
No words can convey how we will miss you Tiny, and we will keep you alive in our memories.
Our prayers and thoughts are with Jean and the family.

My condolences go out to Tiny's family. Tiny was truly a man that you could look up to in many ways.

I'll always remember Tiny's kindness and helpfulness when I first became involved in PRCI activities in the early eighties. He will be sadly missed by all those who have been his friends and colleagues.

After 30+ years of association with Tiny, I will certainly miss his wisdom and counseling. The industry will miss his leadership. We have lost one of the petroleum industries pioneers. Our hopes and prayers go to Jean.

A well known pipeliner will be sadely missed by the industry.
