Not sure what to say?

Hi.
My brother and Me were talking about our band experience in Christiansburg VA. I happened to Google to see if Mr Webb had passed. Just wanted to share that Mr. Webb had a great musical influence in both of our lives. I played French horn and my brother, George, played trombone and tuba. I went on to study and teach elementary music and piano lessons. George has and still plays bass in various groups. We are grateful for Mr. Webb. Thankful for his love for music and using it to...

Mr. Webb will always be great band Teacher, at the time he pass away ,I was in the Hospital , he will be miss.

This will have to do since I don't have a pic of me when I was 17.

Mr. Webb was my band director when I went to Homer L. Ferguson high school (1967-1972). I was just thinking of him with fond memories because he taught me how to play drums which led to a very rewarding experience as a percussionist. I consider him to be an excellent director and conductor and am deeply saddened to find out he has passed on. I was hoping I could tell him personally how much I appreciated his mentoring. Rest in peace, Mr. Webb. I'll look you up when it's my turn to...

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. I remember well starting band at Christiansburg with Mr. Webb in 6th grade. Although he was there for only 2 more years before leaving for Newport News, he left a permanent love of musicianship with me. His personal interest in developing his students was something I never experienced again. We can all be thankful for the dedication of this fine man and his legacy of music.

Sonny, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Your father loved you very much and was so very proud of your trumpet playing abilities and talents ! He truly was a blessing to everyone .

I was a student at Denbigh High and graduated a year before Mr. Webb's retirement. It is remarkable to think of his influence not only as student musicians but as students and staying disciplined in all educational endeavors. I participated in music education throughout middle and high school, and it taught me so much about cooperation, healthy competition and appreciation for other genres. It serves me well as a schoolteacher today. I was fortunate enough to share my appreciation to Mr....

I was a student in Denbigh's class of 1989. Mr. Webb taught us so much about music but also about life. He inspired me to continue playing trumpet through college, in theme parks, and I still play today in church. I am so thankful for all he taught me. While I am confident God will take him swiftly into heaven,we are also praying for mr. Webb and his family who must sorely miss such a great husband, dad and grandfather. May he rest in peace and eternal happiness waiting for you to join him,...

Denbigh H.S. band, Jonathan Lefurge, class of 2014, my sincerest condolences.
