Edith Cornett McGow, 85, of Indianapolis passed away on November 29, 2024. She was born in Ary, Kentucky on March 27, 1939 to her parents, Arthur and Eva Cornett.
Edith was married to the love of her life, Charles (Chuck) McGow, for 54 years.
She was a homemaker, and she worked for K-Mart for several years as a Food Service manager. She also loved to read, cook and garden her flowers.
Edith was proud of her Native American ancestry and Kentucky roots.
She taught Sunday School at several churches and had a degree from St. Mary of the Woods to teach RCIA and RCIC classes at St. Simon
Edith is survived by her children: Teresa McGow-Russell, James, Arthur, Lorena, Clayton, Rachel and Malachi McGow.
She is preceded in death by Husband Charles McGow, parents Arthur and Eva (Brewer) Cornett, Brothers Edmond and Elmond Cornett.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 2-3PM at Flanner Buchanan—Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 3PM.
