Edith Evelyn Burke, age 93, of Nancy, KY, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Highlands Place in Somerset.
Edith was born on August 17, 1929 in Myra, KY to the late Benjamin Franklin Wright and Ida Wallen Wright.
She is survived by her children, Deborah Burke (Michael) Degolyer of Custer, WA, Edmund H. (Mardy) Burke, Jr. of Nancy, KY, William J. Burke of Dothan, AL, Cathy J. (Michael) Kahnle of Seeley Lake, MT and Amy Burke (Tim) Black of Vicenza, Italy; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund Harold Burke, Sr.; three brothers; and four sisters.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 2:30pm at Mill Springs National Cemetery with Bro. Bentley Hogan officiating. Burial was at Mill Springs National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy be made to The Chosen People Ministries, P.O. Box 1441, Somerset, KY 42502.
