Not sure what to say?

I'm one of those League of Women Voters members who will greatly miss the drive and intellect of the legendary Edith. She has taught so many of us such important lessons about our environment and heightened our interest in the preserving and protecting Lake Erie. She has been an exemplary model for effective activism.
It is my good fortune to have known her.

I met Edith during the last decade of her life when we were both working with the League of Women Voters Lake Erie Basin Committee. Her energy, knowledge and dedication to this cause was remarkable for a person of any age. Anyone who met her could never forget her. I am so grateful that our paths crossed on this journey. My sincerest condolences to the family.

So sorry for the loss of this lovely woman. Her trips to Rensselaerville are remembered fondly. I only knew her later in her life, but she was so interesting and ready to have fun. Sincerest condolences to Barbara and Richard.

We are so very fortunate in the League of Women Voters to have known Edith, and to benefit from her knowledge, expertise, and passion. Her leadership of the Lake Erie Basin Committee was truly stellar, and her commitment to environmental issues inspired countless others. She will be missed, but her legacy remains strong in Northeast Ohio, the Lake Erie Basin, and beyond. Our condolences to Edith's family, friends and fellow Leaguers. --Mary Kirtz Van Nortwick and Alison Ricker,...

Edith was a long time collaborator--we worked on Lake Erie and Great Lakes issues for many years. We are all indebted to her for her leadership environmentally

Edith was a legend for her work with the Lake Erie Basin Committee. We are thankful for her hard work and her commitment to improving our environment. I hope that memories of her good works will be a comfort to her family and close friends.
