John, Michael, and family,
You are in our thoughts and prayers. Edith was a lovely person who is now in God's strong hands. She will always be with you when you need her, right on your shoulders. May God bless and keep you.
Love from all your friends at

Dear Dent Family,
This message of sorrow is from one of Mrs. Dents prior students. My maiden name is Rice and she was my teacher at Cook School. I used to reside on Walnut Avenue but I used to love to go to school just to see her. She was a beautiful, kind and caring teacher. She was the best teacher that I ever had while growing up. I followed in her footsteps. Please take care of yourselves and she will be missed. Connie (Rice) Barlow Suffolk, Va.

Mike, Callie and family, I'm very sorry for the loss of your Mother. May cherished memories of her ease your sorrow.

My prayers are with John, Michael and all of Edith's family. May God bless you with His healing balm, knowing that He doeth all things well.

John and family you have our deepest sympathy. Just rely on your sweet memories. Francenia Wilkins & family

John and family may God comfort you at this time. Sincerely Francenia Wilkins.

John, my skipped a beat when I saw Mrs. Dent,s picture in the paper on sunday, then I smiled remembering the impact that she had on my life. I am one of her students from Cook School. She had a way of making us all feel special and I am thankful to have had the opportunity to know her as an adult. God Bless you and Michael.- Willavette Stokes, Trenton MJ
