I had Ms Eells as my first grade teacher in the early 60's at San Jose. I will always remember how kind she was to her pupils. Whenever you went to the Hospital there she was greeting people at the Gift Shop. I echoed the thoughts of a pillar for our community.

Miss Eels was our beloved first grade teacher back in the fifties. By "our" I mean all of us who went to San Jose Elementary and are now retired in our sixties! My family also knew her through the Pilgrim Congregational Church, the Hospital Auxilliary, and educational organizations. She was a positive light and a terrific role model especially for those of us who also chose the noble profession of teaching.

I will always remember Edith Francis from my earliest days at Pilgrim Church. She was a kind and great lady. She and brother Howard were pillars in the community and a great example to all.
