Tell me not in mournful numbers life is but an empty dream and the soul is dead that slumbers, things are not quite what they seem... Lives of great "women" remind us. We can live our lives sublime and departing leave behind us footprints on the sands of time. In memory of Sister Gayla,
Elder H.R.Colclough and The Greater Charleston District

I knew Ms. Gayla from OGC/HHS, she brought me in the program as a stay-in-school-student-program for the young people. She gave young minorities an opportunity in the government. She always looked out for my well being for the 4 years I worked for her and she help me start my career in the government. She was such a blessing to the young people and the community for all.

I knew Gayla from First Baptist Church Hamilton Park. Gayla was a kind and gentle soul who was very caring and giving of her time, talents and treasures (always a blessing to First Church youth during her time there). I shall miss my dear sweet sister until I meet her in Glory. May the Holy Spirit strengthen her family and ALL who knew and LOVED THIS GREAT WOMAN OF GOD! Huggs and Kisses Gayla you were an example to us all of Christ love on the earth!

You have our sympathy in the passing of our dear sister, friend and daughter in Christ.
