I have many nice memories of Mrs. Grundel and sitting on the porch talking whether as a kid or as adult when I moved back to the area. I know my mom loved your mom and was truely blessed with her friendship. I still have the beautiful afghan that Mrs Grundel made for me and gave to me as a wedding present 37 years ago. My kids and grandkids always heard of the special lady that made it Wishing you all your special memories to get you through this time. Sending prayers and hugs to all. ...

So sorry to hear of Edith's passing. I'll always remember the sweet couple who sat on their porch, smiling and chatting with neighbors and children as they walked by. Now that they are reunited, I hope they're once again sitting side by side... enjoying the view.

Bubbe was the last of the greatest generation that every lived, she was the embodiment of a survivor in more ways than just the Holocaust. She was a kind, gentle, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was someone very special who touched the lives of so many.
