Not sure what to say?

My heart felt sympathy to the Howland family--I will always remember Edith with her smile and laugh. She will be missed yet still loved----Sarah and Michael Young

Edith Howland was the perfect mother-in-law. She was good from the inside out -- never criticizing or saying a harsh word but loving us unconditionally. Everytime I see a flower, hear a bird, play skat or yahtzee, or smell banana bread I will think of her. Her goodness lives on in my husband, and I thank her for that. I will miss her every day.

Edith, my mother-in-law, was quite simply one of the finest and most inspiring people I have ever known. We shared a love for many of the same things….time with family, a good laugh, game playing, Tootsie Rolls, cookies and the beauty of nature. She continually remarked that we did too much for her; yet, in our minds we could never do enough…she always deserved so much more. I cannot really think of the world without her and will miss her always.

Ken, Pat and family. My sincerest condolences in the loss of Edith. You all are in my thoughts and prayers at this time. Your memories of her will last a life time. Not a day will pass that you won't think of her and you'll always remember the good times you all had together as a family. Wish I could be there for you as you have been there for me. My love to you and your family.

Our heartfelt sympathy to the entire Howland family. We are thankful that we had a chance to meet and enjoy Edith in Hilton Head and again in N.Y.. May you find peace and comfort knowing she has gone home to God. We wil keep her in our prayers.

Grandma was the kindest, most selfless person I have ever met. I have never met someone so humble, so loving, and so caring. If we can all learn to live and act as she did, this world would truly be a better place. I know she is with Jesus, and smiling down on all of us. We love her dearly and will miss her much.

My condolences to the Howland family. May God Bless You!

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Please know that my heartfelt sympathies are being sent to you. Much love, Marilyn Hample

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. We enjoyed several days in Horseheads a few years ago with Don and Amy. I remember sitting in Edith's kitchen playing cards, laughing and joking with her. That's how we shall remember her.
We hope you find peace in your memories.
