Sitting on the top of the jelly cupboard in our family room is a photograph that was taken 17 years ago. It shows a thirty something woman holding a rather pudgy baby on her left hip standing next to a woman with red, curly hair and a smile like no other. That woman is Edi: the others- me and my son Jake. Edi was my mom in the work place. She was my writing teacher, my conscience, and the person I could count on to see more in me then I could see in myself. She and Bill welcomed me into their...

Edith and I shared aunts, uncles and grandparents, growing up together in Syracuse. We shared our growing up, our Simchas and, even our sorrows. She is remembered by all of my family, children and grandchildren with love and many happy memories. We will remember her delight as each new Rifkin, Allon, and Sobel arrived
