On behalf of the Board of Directors of Belvedere Residence, I would like to express my condolences to Edith's daughters Susan and Jane and to all the family.

Edith was a fun, gracious, humble and generous lady. Her contributions to the arts and the mental health community of Montreal are legend. Her zest for life and her energy for living life fully were astonishing. She will be missed by all who knew this wonderful lady.

I was so sorry to hear of Edith's passing. She was my friend, my babysitter and when I was at St. George's an inspiration to a young girl. She was also a very good friend to my late mother and was very supportive when she passed this summer.

My love and best wishes go out to my other babysitter, Jane, Susie and their families. She was a great lady.

Edith Low-Beer has touched me in a very special way. As a woman, she has shown me great generosity, wisdom, humility and gratitude. I feel very fortunate to have met her and to have been inspired by her greatness. What a legend she has left behilnd.
