In her usual understanding way she let me know that I would be in her thoughts as she went about her work with secondary schools. Dear Kate, Judy, and Lisa,

Your Mother gave the word "charisma" new meaning!
Edie was mentor, leader, and friend at Dana Hall and through the years after Dana. So much of her influence showed up in my teaching, committee work, and even today in volunteer work.

These words bring our sympathies and our prayers.

Dear Judith, Lisa, and Kate,

Of the many people whose lives Edie touched, you, of course, will miss her the most.

But take comfort in the assurance that all of us who also loved her will carry a part of her within us always.

You and your families will remain in my thoughts and prayers throughout the coming days.
