Read MoreMrs. Pruett was a wonderful, gracious and kind person, as well as an excellent teacher. She taught most of the little "Hullett" children in the 3rd grade and also taught us music.
Her eyes sparkled, her smile was warm and sincere, and she will be remembered with great tenderness and gratitude for all that she was to all who were fortunate enough to have known and loved her.

Mrs. Pruett was my 3rd grade teacher at Abernant. This was THE year of learning in the 1950's; cursive writing, multiplication, division and reading more than Dick and Jane. She is the teacher whom I credit for my thirst for learning. She is the reason I still read everything I can. Thank you Mrs. Pruett.
